• YIRF aims to encourage further discussion and collaboration between people interested in questions of Nutrition & Food Sceinces.
  • This retreat is aimed at providing guidance, tactics, and strategies to better position young investigators for a successful career in the field of Nutrition & Food Sceinces.
  • The Forum will provide an opportunity for collegial interaction with other young investigators and established senior investigators across the broad spectrum of Nutrition & Food Sceinces research as well as with NIH scientific and program officers.
  • Young Researcher Sessions are organized at the Nurtrition & Food Seince 2018, to provide an exclusive platform for Investigators for presenting latest research projects with an in-depth analysis.
  • Scient cordially invites Young Researchers from Universities/Institutes/Industries to present a short oral presentation during the forum. These oral presentations ought to be of 10-15 minutes length in connected scientific track followed by five minutes question hour. Therefore, presenters are offered to give comprehensive and dynamic talks.
  • Participants should be below the age of 33 years.
  • Open to young investigators (clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty).
  • The Forum process begins by inviting researchers to submit abstracts of their work, which is then reviewed and rated by a select panel of Nutrition & Food Sceince experts. The panel then awards the top scoring authors the opportunity to give an oral presentation of their work at the Forum.
  • Topics must fit into the general theme of Nutrition & Food Sceince, for example as outlined in the call for GCD papers.
  • At least one of the authors must be a young researcher.
  • We will employ a two-phase screening process. After the first review phase, there will be a notification of either rejection, or conditional acceptance, accompanied with a description of required changes to be made (either with respect to content or format)
  • The screening process is intended to ensure the technical quality of the presented work.
  • All submissions must be in English.

  • The Young Investigator Researchers Forum organised by Scient within the framework of the nutrition as a unique opportunity for the researchers to present their work to a select audience of peers and key representatives in the field of Nutrition & Food Sceince.
  • This medium will give pertinent and timely information and can discuss latest research tools and technologies in your field.
  • Though this medium, Interact and share ideas with both peer and mentor, can develop collegial interaction among young researchers and networking with senior investigators across the globe.
  • An award, funded by Scient, is presented to the researcher’s that provided the best oral presentations, with a possibility of their work being published in the Journal of Integrative Food Sciences & Nutrition.
