We look forward to welcoming participants from all over the world to the sparkling city of Las Vegas and are highly optimistic of making this event a cherishable experience for our participants and collaborator.

Young Investigators Researchers Forum

  • YIRF aims to encourage further discussion and collaboration between people interested in questions of Obesity and Weight Management.
  • This retreat is aimed at providing guidance, tactics, and strategies to better position young investigators for a successful career in the field of Obesity and Weight Management
  • The Forum will provide an opportunity for collegial interaction with other young investigators and established senior investigators across the broad spectrum of Dental research as well as with NIH scientific and program officers
  • Young Researcher Sessions are organized at the Obesity 2016, to provide an exclusive platform for Investigators for presenting latest research projects with an in-depth analysis.
  • Scient cordially invites Young Researchers from Universities/Institutes/Industries to present a short oral presentation during the forum. These oral presentations ought to be of 10-15 minutes length in connected scientific track followed by five minutes question hour. Therefore, presenters are offered to give comprehensive and dynamic talks.

Eligibility

  1. Participants should be below the age of 33 years.
  2. Open to young investigators (clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty).
  3. The Forum process begins by inviting researchers to submit abstracts of their work, which is then reviewed and rated by a select panel of Dental Experts. The panel then awards the top scoring authors the opportunity to give an oral presentation of their work at the Forum.
  4. Topics must fit into the general theme of Obesity and Weight Management, for example as outlined in the call for GCD papers.
  5. At least one of the authors must be a young researcher.
  6. We will employ a two-phase screening process. After the first review phase, there will be a notification of either rejection, or conditional acceptance, accompanied with a description of required changes to be made (either with respect to content or format)

  8. All submissions must be in English.
