Abstract
Myocardial regeneration utilizing novel cell-based therapies, gene transfer, and growth factors may prove to play an important role in the management of heart disease. Clinical trials have been published for a variety of biologics methods: systemic infusion, intracoronary infusion, trans venous coronary sinus, and intramyocardial. This review aims to address the recent aspects of the relationships between cardiac stem cell therapy and cardiovascular disease.
