BIOGRAPHY:

Parisa Ziarati is a hardworking researcher since she has published some 125 research articles in some leading technical and scientific journals. She is the author of 3 books. She has delivered 135 lectures at national and international conferences on relevant subjects, primarily environmental chemistry. She has also supervised 95 masters theses and mediated 81 theses as an advisor. She has also published several papers on new findings in phytoremediation, a topic of current and original research attracting commercial interest. Moreover, she has worked exhaustively on turning low cost wastes products (food, agricultural, forestry, industrial and mine wastes) into a valuable resources for water/wastewater remediation and pollution prevention. It is notable that remediation of contaminated soils by heavy metals and organics, detoxification and removal of heavy metals from foods, including rice and vegetables by adsorbents/bio-sorbents is her current research passion.
