BIOGRAPHY:

Annis Lai-chu Fung is an Associate Professor at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU). She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Hong Kong. She is the Program Leader of Master of Social Sciences (Counseling) at CityU. She has received many research and teaching awards at both local and international level over the years. She has obtained more than US$1,800,000 grants for different projects involving aggression among children and adolescents. As a trailblazer in research about proactive and reactive aggression, Annis is the first researcher developing targeted, evidence-based interventions for reactive and proactive aggression as well as for aggressive and pure victimization. She has utilized many innovative approaches in her interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral, physio-moral, bio-neurological approach, narrative, and self-constructivist approaches. Her evidence-based interventions have already been implemented by over 100 schools in Hong Kong, at least more than 57,000 students and nearly 6,000 teachers have been directly benefited.
