BIOGRAPHY:

Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil Nordin received his medical degree in 1989 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Masters Radiology in 1996 from Universiti Malaya. In 1997 he obtained fellowship in Nuclear Medicine from University of Sydney, Westmead Hospital and later another fellowship in PET CT from University of Zurich in 2008. Prof. Abdul Jalil was with Ministry of Health Malaysia as radiologist from 1996 to 1999 and Pantai Specialist Medical Centre as consultant radiologist from 1999 to 2003. He then joined Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia as Senior Lecturer in 2003 and later was appointed as Deputy Dean (Academic) from 2009 for a year. He is currently serving as Director at Center for Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging, one of Center of Excellence in Universiti Putra Malaysia from 2010 where he helped in setting up PET CT facility under 9th Malaysian Plan and currently working on setting up Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) facility under 10th Malaysian Plan which should be completed in 2015. He was also a visiting fellow at numerous overseas universities and hospitals, including Milan Bicocca University, Milano, Italy; Medical University Salzburg, Austria; Ottawa Heart Institute, Ottawa University; Ospedale Monaldi, Napoli and Groningen University Hospital.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
