Associate Professor of Oncology in the Department of Molecular Cellular Biology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Department of Medicine, State University of New York at After his graduation he spent two years as a fellow of National Research Council of Canada. Following that he joined Roswell Park Cancer Institute in as a Cancer Research Scientist in the Department of Medical Viral Oncology. His research interests are in the area of cell molecular biology of Herpes viruses, interferons prostate cancer. He has published well over 100 publications, written several book chapters & patents. He has been invited to participate in numerous national has often chaired sessions on  several international meetings. He is currently on the editorial board of J. Medicine Indian J. Medical Microbiology member of several professional organizations including New York Academy of Sciences; American Association for the Advancement of Science; Society for Experimental Biology & Medicine; American Association for Cancer Research;International Society for Interferon & Cytokine research. The Society of Basic Urologic Research etc. Recently, he has completed editing a book on interferons entitled Interferons:Current Status, published by Research Signpost(ISBN 81-7736-256-9). His immediate research interest is in developing new biomarkers for early detection management of prostate cancer in studying physiological role of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in regulating prostate tumor growth in-particular role of PSA in angiogenesis.
