BIOGRAPHY:

Minee Choi obtained her MMSc (first class, 4.38/4.5) in Physiology from College of Medicine, Hanyang University, Seoul, Republic of Korea and received PhD in Clinical Neuroscience from University of Cambridge, UK. She also worked on a range of neurodegenerative diseases since my MMSc study including Parkinson's disease (PD), Huntington's disease (HD), early onset dementia and even rare inherited Fabry disease which cover major neurodegenerative conditions. For PhD study she investigated functional roles of adult neurogenesis in cognitive impairments frequently seen as early signs of neurodegenerative diseases particularly for patients with HD and PD. Since she joined UCL institute of Neurology, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London as a post-doctoral research associate, she intensively worked on pathological mechanisms/pathway of -synuclein of which aggregates are key pathological features of PD by employing live cell imaging technique.
