BIOGRAPHY:

Sayegh academic and professional background as a veterinarian and a neuroscientist, especially his training in rodent surgery and feeding behavior, enable me to carry this project successfully. During the past 16 years of research he have been studying the role of the nerves of the gastrointestinal tract in the reduction of food intake by the gut peptide cholecystokinin (CCK) using immunohistochemical detection of Fos-like immunoreactivity and measuring food intake in normal and surgically altered Sprague Dawley rats. Hislaboratory is considered the only feeding laboratory that utilizes enteric Fos-like immunoreactivity.
