BIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Carlo Valerio is a Medical Doctor & a Pediatrician with a 20-year experience in neonatal intensive care at University Hospital Of Siena, Siena, Italy. Carlo Valerio Bellieni has a relevant story of teaching in the field of pain treatment and pediatrics, since 2004. He has been invited as a speaker in many Italian and foreign congresses, to deal with pediatric pain and environmental hazards in pediatric settings. He has performed scientific research in the field of pediatric analgesia, and environmental hazards, producing new analgesic treatments and pain assessment tools. He has written many scientific papers with a high total impact factor and Hirsh score, mainly in the field of pediatric analgesic treatment. He also wrote several books, chapters of books and encyclopedias. He owns 2 Italian and 1 European patents of medical tools. He is member of several international and national scientific associations and serves as a reviewer or member of the editorial board of almost 50 international scientific journals
