BIOGRAPHY:

Mohamed Ismail Roushdy received his Ph.D. in 1993, M.Sc degree in 1984 and B.Sc. degree in 1979 from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University. His experimental doctoral research work was conducted at Bochum University in Germany during 1989-1991. He is a professor of Computer Science since 2007 and Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt since 2010 till now. His areas of research are Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge engineering, Expert Systems, Intelligent Medical, Health Informatics, Intelligent e-Learning Technologies, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Biometrics, Medical Data Mining and Robotics. He published more than 70 scientific papers in International Journals, International Conferences and Book Chapter. He has been involved in more than 50 conferences and workshops as a Keynote speaker, member of several international program committees, organizer and session chair. He is the Chairman and editor for the 8th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems, Cairo, Egypt, Dec. 5-7, 2017, Chairman and editor for the 7th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems, Cairo, Egypt, Dec. 12-14, 2015, Chairman and editor for the 6th International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems, Cairo, Egypt, Dec. 14-16, 2013, Chairman and editor for 5th International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems, Cairo, Egypt, June 2011, Scientific Sponsor for the 4th European Conference of Computer Science (ECCS '13), Paris, France, October 29-31, 2013, One of Chairman, editor and scientific sponsor for the WSEAS conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia, June 25-27, 2013. In addition, he is a partner of a MEDCAMPUS Projects on Methodologies and Technologies for Distance Education in Mediterranean (1993-1995). He is the Editor of the International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Information Science, IJICIS, Egypt. He is a Member in Information Technology Executive Committee, Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities, Cairo, Egypt from 2010 to date, Member in the promotion Committee for Professors and Associate Professors in Computer Science & Information systems, Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities, Cairo, Egypt from 2013 to 2016, Member in Syndicate of Scientific Professions, Egypt and Member in Egyptian Computer Society, Egypt.
