Dental Medicine Doctor (University of Bari ALDO MORO, Italy), Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Orthognathodontics (University of Foggia, Italy) and in Sexuality Medicine (University of Bari ALDO MORO, Italy). Post-Graduate in Epidemiological Methodology, Bioethics, Culture and Quality Management and Temporomandibular disorders and atypical facial pain: from diagnosis to multidisciplinary management (University of Bari ALDO MORO, Italy). Laboratory Head at Department of Dental Sciences and Surgery (2009-2012). Visiting Professor at "City Unity College - Greece" (and affiliated Institutions). Visiting Scientist at "Tecnologica Research Institute" in Crotone, Italy. Visiting Senior Clinical Lecturer for the MClinDent programme in Oral Surgery and Translational Medicine at BPP University, Faculty of Dentistry, Birmingham-United Kingdom. Member of the " World Academy of Growth Factors & Stem Cells in Dentistry- WAGroFSCD".

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Scientific research activity in Dentistry, Stem Cells, Sexual Transmitted Diseases, Medical Genetics, Clinical Biochemistry, Dermatology, Immunology, Microbiology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Maxillofacial Surgery, Biotechnology, Occupational Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Biochemistry and Dental Hygiene. Actually the research lines are focused on: stem cells from oral and extra-oral tissues, regenerative therapies in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery, biomimetic scaffolds, genetic disorders with and without oral and maxillofacial features, genetics of periodontal disease and its correlation with systemic diseases, genotoxicity, cytogenetic, biochemistry implant dentistry, orthodontics, and Laser Technology and Therapy.
