Sania Bashir is a senior research scholar affiliated with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). She currently work at the Central University Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. Her work is related to diseases persuading due to amyloids or protein aggregates using biophysical analytics and investigating the probe using varied Multi-spectroscopic techniques, DLS & ITC. She have her research on the interaction of Osmolytes/Drugs/Ligands with proteins that have therapeutic applications such as Insulin as Diabetic patients have challenges in carrying insulin vials which get aggregated due to change in environmental factors.  

She mentored more than 20 internship students from the class of Masters in the science of various Biotechnology, Life sciences, Biophysics, Microbiology and Engineering fields. She attended and presented work in more than ten international and national conferences, workshops and scientific meetings across India. She published many research articles in five international journals, including American Chemical Society (ACS), Frontiers in Neurosciences, Mdpi and book chapter in Springer Nature.

She was awarded as Best Poster and paper Presentation in National and International Conferences Presented Covid-19: basis prevention and cure, and has received the Best Position Paper award in WHO committee of International Model United Conference (IMUN) 2020. Awarded as top campus ambassador position at IMUN.

Currently she is selected as the board member for the Young Researchers Forum of the 3rd Global Chemistry Forum going to be held at Dubai

Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years.

He published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker or Poster presenter. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries.

Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches over 60 Virtual/Webinar Conferences, due to the coronavirus outbreak in two year of his retirement, 2020 and 2021. Currently he is the board member for 3rd Global Chemistry Conference going to be held at Dubai.

Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M. Sc theses. He is also Technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of   significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File.

Scientific fields of Dr. Adiguzel:  Shape memory effect and displacive phase transformations in shape memory alloys and other alloys, molecular dynamics simulations, alloy modeling, electron microscopy, electron diffraction, x-ray diffraction and crystallography.

 Mohd Amin Mir, is currently the Head department of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical chemistry at Uttaranchal College of Science and Technology, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), has successfully completed his PhD in Chemistry at Uttarakhand Technical University Dehradun (Uttarakhand), India, with several awards from the Uttaranchal College of Science and Technology. Dr. Amin Mir had published more than 70 research articles in various International and National journals. Dr. M. Amin Mir got Young Scientist Award, Chemical Sciences, Aufau International Award 2016. He is an Editorial Board Member of more than 11 International Journals. He got several course certificates, appreciation awards, in the DAV (PG) College Dehradun, HNB Garhwal (Central) University and at Uttarakhand Technical University. M. Amin Mir got primary education from Gugloosa Kupwara Kashmir. He did his graduation in Science at Govt. Degree College Kupwara. His M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry is from the HNB Garhwal (Central) University, (Uttarakhand). Besides, he got the Best Teacher Award (2010), at Uttaranchal College of Science and Technology, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). He has more than 170 projects (Dissertation) of M. Sc Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Botany, Environmental Sciences and Zoology students have been Supervised Independently in 09 years.

Abdelkrim ABOURRICHE is a Professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at National School of Applied Sciences in Safi, Morocco. Abourriche’s specialist areas are the development of original natural resources such as Moroccan oil shale. He also worked as Project Manager entitled: Solvent Extraction of organic matter of oil shale. Study and Promotion of the oils produced. This project is funded by Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology. In 2008 he took on the role of Head of the Industrial Engineering Department at National School of Applied Sciences Safi. He is the author of over 50 publications in international journals and conference proceedings refereed and a hundred oral presentations or by posters.  He is the member of scientific and organizing committees of several national and international conferences.

Extraction of oil shale, Carbone fibres, microporous and mesoporous materials

Maria Helena Casimiro is a researcher in the area of functionalization of polymeric materials for Biomedical, Environmental, and Conservation and Restoration areas. Her work has been focused on the functionalization of macromolecules (polymeric and hybrid materials) tailored for the particular application on demand using gamma-radiation as a green modifying tool. Concerning biomedical field, she has carried out research activity on development of chitosan based materials for drug delivery systems and for skin scaffolds. She has been involved in national and international projects, students’ supervision, worked as reviewer for journals of international circulation and co-organized science promotion activities. She has several publications to her credit.

  • Polymeric based materials and its functionalization using gamma radiation as a green modifying tool for biomedical application (ex. drug release systems and wound dressings) and to be used in fine chemistry reactions, sustainable processes and environmental catalysis
  • Polymeric catalytic membrane reactors and heterogeneous catalysis (for production of valuable compounds as aromas, biodiesel and precursors for pharmaceutical industry).
  • Preparation and/or modification of natural and synthetic polymeric materials by gamma irradiation

Nuno A. S. Domingues, completed Pos Doc in Science Communication from FCSH-UNL (2021), and also has a Pos Doc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from IST (2020), he has a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from FCT-UNL (2015), he did his Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from IST (2008), Undergraduate (5-year) in Electrical Engineering from ISEL (2005).

His topics of Research include: modelling and simulation, energy systems, SCADA and DSS, decision making, intelligent optimization, evolutionary algorithms, machine learning, efficiency, clean technologies, mobility and transport, sustainable consumption and regulation, e-learning, science communication, education.

He is a Professor in ISEL. He holds a Problem Based Learning and Excellence in Teaching and Learning diploma by UNESCO and the internationally Information Technology ECDL qualification. He has the Leadership certification by the Military Academy.

Gadirova Elmina Musrat, currently is working as an Assistant Professor at Ecological Chemistry department at the Baku State University. She completed her undergraduate school training from Baku State University, Azerbaian. Gadirova Elmina Musrat was the author of more than 120 scientific papers and patents. She has several international projects to her credit. Shes been a Member of the scientific staff at the International Conferences held at Belarus State University, also member of the scientific staff at the Eurasia Enviro  International Chemistry  Congress, she is also the member of the board of UNIDOKAP Black Sea International Scientific Symposium, Recently she is the member of the scientific staff at the International Conference-Turkey. For almost 17 International conferences she was the board member.

Her Research Interests include:

1.Decomposition of phenol in industrial wastewater using TiO2 nanoparticles as well as determination of toxic organic and inorganic substances in water samples taken from various water bodies.

2. Ecological assessment of the impact on the atmosphere depending on the nature of the additives in fuels, especially diesel fuel.

She has published up to about 37 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has had presented her research works at international level. Takashiro AKITSU, Ph.D. is a full Professor for the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science Division II at Tokyo University of Science. He completed his undergraduate school training (chemistry) from Osaka University, Japan and his graduate school training (physical & inorganic chemistry, especially coordination, crystal, and bioinorganic chemistry) from Osaka University (Ph.D. 2000). After Keio University and Stanford University, He moved to the current affiliation since 2008. Dr. Akitsu has published up to about 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has had posters presented at international level. He has been a peer reviewer of many journals and acted as an organizing committee of several international conferences.

Thomas F. George (chancellor/professor emeritus) served as chancellor and professor of chemistry and physics at the University of Missouri–St. Louis from 2003 until his retirement in 2019.  Prior to that, he was chancellor at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, provost at Washington State University, dean of science at SUNY-Buffalo, and promoted by age 29 to full professor of chemistry at the University of Rochester.  He received his B.A. degree (Phi Beta Kappa) with a double major in chemistry and mathematics from Gettysburg College, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at age 23 from Yale University, with postdoctoral appointments at MIT and UC-Berkeley.

Tom’s research specialty is chemical/materials/laser/nanophysics, including nanomedicine.  He continues to be an active researcher with 800 papers, 9 authored and 30 edited books.  His awards include the Marlow Medal from the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), Medal of Honor from Gulf University for Science and Technology in Kuwait, and Diploma of Honour from Seinájoki University of Applied Sciences in Finland.  He holds honorary doctorates from the University of Szeged in Hungary and Phranakhon Rajabhat University in Thailand, and he has been elected as a foreign member of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology.  As a hobby, he plays jazz keyboard and has performed throughout the country and overseas in Bosnia, Croatia, China, Hungary, Kuwait, Oman, Romania and Russian Siberia.

Tom has been married since 1970 to Dr. Barbara Harbach, Curators’ Distinguished Professor Emerita of Music, former chair of the Department of Music, director of the School of Fine and Performing Arts, and director of Women in the Arts at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  They are the proud owners (actually, servants) of four cats – two tortoise females (Luna and Stella) and two younger, mischievous males (Jeremiah and Jarrett).

Dr. Christopher Koroneos is currently the Mayor of Greek Islands of Nisyros. He is noted as one of the top World class scientists of the Stanford’s List of 2021. He is also the senior research associate of the department of chemical engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. Till 2016 he worked as Associate Professor, University of Western Macedonia – 2016 for the department of Mechanical Engineering and a PPC Chair for Renewable Energy. He also worked as a Visiting Professor for National Technical University of Athens Graduate Program “Environment and Development”. Dr. Don Coltart obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Manitoba under the supervision of Professor James L. Charlton, and he then joined the research group of Professor Derrick L. J. Clive at the University of Alberta where he obtained his Ph.D.  His postdoctoral work was conducted at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as an NSERC, AHFMR, and CRI Scholar under the supervision of Professor Samuel J. Danishefsky.  Don began his independent career at Duke University in 2004 and moved to the University of Houston in 2012 where he is an associate professor.  His research group studies the development of methods for asymmetric carbon–carbon bond formation, the application of those methods to the total synthesis of structurally complex biologically active natural products, and the study of those compounds in biological systems.

Dr. Dimitrios P. Nikolelis is currently working as a professor of environmental chemistry in Department of Chemistry, University of Athens. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Athens in 1976. He has coordinated 3 European Projects on environmental biosensors. He has over 200 scientific papers in scientific journals and conferences. He is the Editor of 5 books on Biosensors and the Editor of many scientific journals. His current interests also include the construction of novel chemical nanosensors that can be used for the rapid detection of environmental pollutants directly in the gas phase. He has authored a large number of scientific papers on the detection of environmental pollutants such as hydrazines, dioxins, insecticides, toxins, etc.

Dr. Plato A. Magriotis is currently working as Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Patras in Greece and a Research Affiliate with the Department of Chemistry at New York University. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Biology with Professor Francis Johnson at Stony Brook University in 1983 and did Postdoctoral work at Harvard University with Nobel Laureate Professor E. J. Corey. His career started at West Virginia University and continued at Merck & Co. as well as New York University in the U.S., prior to his return to Greece. Magriotis’ research program focuses on the development of new methodology for the synthesis of relevant pharmacophores applied in drug discovery.

Dr. Hermis Iatrou is currently working as Professor of Chemistry Department at the University of Athens. In 2014 he was Director of the Industrial Chemistry Laboratory of the Chemistry Department of the University of Athens. He was director of the Graduate Program of the University of Athens Chemistry Department. He has received Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Science at the University of Athens, under the supervision of Prof. Nikos Hadjichristidis. Prof. Ludo Diels, Dr. in chemistry & biotechnology, works  at the University of Antwerp, and is research manager Sustainable Chemistry for the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) in Mol, Belgium.

He is responsible for the transition toward sustainable chemistry and clean technology.   In this he is strongly involved in the set up of a biobased economy in Flanders and Europe, and the collaboration between Europe and India. He is a founding father of the Shared Research Centre on Bio-aromatics (BIORIZON), the BIG-C trilateral alliance with NordRhein Westfalia and the Vanguard Initiative. Dr. Mirosław Kwiatkowski is currently working an assistant professor at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels, at the AGH University of Science and Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Energy and Fuels at the AGH University of Science and Technology & D.Sc. degree from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Wrocław University of Technology. He is also a regular reviewer in most reputable scientific journals. His published work includes more than 45 papers in reputable international journals and 75 conference proceedings. He was also a supervisor of 58 master’s theses and 55 engineer’s theses and is a tutor of a student scientific society called “Green Energy”.

Dr. Jose Antonio Navio Santos is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Seville (Spain), where he teaches in subjects in the area of Inorganic Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. of Science in Chemistry from the University of Seville (Spain).  He has over 30 years of professional experience in materials synthesis and characterization for (photo)-catalysis having been directed numerous doctoral theses related to the synthesis, characterization and photocatalytic activity of materials in their relationship with the treatment of environmental pollution both for treatments of contaminated waters and gases. His research activities are carried out at the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (Spain), which is a Mixed Centre between the University of Seville and the CSIC (Spain). Dr. Ana Beltrán currently works as Associate Professor in the Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Food Sciences Department at the University of Alicante. She also works as a Project and Innovation Manager in the area of Packaging Materials and Active Systems at the Packaging, Transport, and Logistics Research Center (ITENE). She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry, specialized in Analytical Chemistry in 2010 at the University of Alicante.  Author of more than 19 scientific papers (JCR indexed) and 15 book chapters related to food sciences area. She is also co-inventor of 3 international patents and she is a co-author of more than 40 communications presented at international scientific conferences. She has a huge experience in food safety assays by developing analytical methods combined with multivariate analysis for quantification of migrant substances working together with companies related to the food industry. She currently participates as senior researcher in regional, national and European research projects.

Dr. Luis Serrano is a Ramon y Cajal researcher from the Chemical Engineering Department in the University of Cordoba. After his PhD in the same University, he worked as post-doctoral researcher in numerous research groups in Europe and Latin America aorund the field of biorefinery of lignocellulosic materials. Nowadays, he presents more than 70 publications, collaborated in 30 R&D& projects in competitve calls and 10 projects with companies. He has presented more than 50 communications in national and international conferences and he has been founder of two BTE result of the know-how acquires in his scientific career. His expertise is focused on the valorisation of lignocellulosic residues to high added value products.

Dr. Alejandro Rodriguez Pascual is a professor of Chemical Engineering Department in the University of Córdoba, Spain, from December 2011. He has completed his Ph.D. from University of Córdoba, Spain, and started to work as a lecturer in University Pablo of Olavide, Spain. He worked as “Ramón y Cajal” researcher from 2007 to 2011. His scholarly activity should be resumed as follow: books 1, book chapters 3, Journal Articles >80, proceedings & abstracts >50, invited talks 1 and supervisory roles (including present personnel): 9 Ph.D. Students. He has also been serving as an Editorial Board Member of several journals.

Dr. Branca M. Silva is graduated in Food Engineering from the Escola Superior de Biotecnologia, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto, Portugal), since 1997. She also received the Master degree in Quality Control (Scientific Area Water and Foods) and the Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Scientific Area Nutrition and Food Chemistry) both from the Faculdade de Farmácia, Universidade do Porto (Porto, Portugal), in 2000 and 2005, respectively. Currently, she is an Associate Professor (with Habilitation) at the Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade da Beira Interior (Covilhã, Portugal). Serkos Haroutounian is currently working as a professor of Chemistry at the Laboratory of Nutritional Physiology & Feeding of the Agricultural University of Athens and the coordinator of Organic Chemistry at the Hellenic Open University. His research is focused on the applications of Organic-Analytical Chemistry for the development of novel (natural and synthetic) bioactive preparations for use as food additives, functional foods, medicines and biocides. He is the author of 130 research articles published in international scientific journals and books.

Dr. Lutfun Nahar is currently working as an Honorary Lecturer, the Faculty of Science at LJMU. Prior to this current position, she worked as a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry and coordinated the Drug Discovery and Design Research Division within the Pharmacy Research Group. She was also the ERASMUS coordinator at UoW (2008-2011). She was graduated with a Chemistry (Hons) degree from the University of Exeter and obtained my Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen. Her current research interests include the application of organic synthetic methodologies in different areas of chemistry. She is a well-trained organic medicinal and natural products chemist.

Dr. Laurent Ruhlmann is currently working as Professor of Chemistry at University of Strasbourg, France. He is the head of the Laboratory of Electrochemistry and of Physical Chemistry of the Solid State at University of Strasbourg. He joined the faculty of chemistry at University of Paris-Sud in 1998, where he initiated his research on polyoxometalate. He has received his B. S. & Ph. D. in chemistry from Louis Pasteur University. He has extensive expertise in polyoxometalate (POM), but also in porphyrin and hybrid porphyrin-POM synthesis and application and has been developing electrocatalysis, photocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis. His team is multidisciplinary but has an important expertise in electrochemistry, electrosynthesis, and catalysis (electro catalysis, photo catalysis, and photoelectrocatalysis).
