Organizing Committee

Professor Venko Beschkov was born in 1946 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was graduated in chemistry from the Sofia University, St. Clement Ohridski, Bulgaria (1969). He received his PhD in 1978 and his DSc degree in 1996. His present interests are chemical and biochemical processes for environment protection and utilization of renewable energy sources. He participated in 36 scientific projects, as well as in 20 applied projects.
He has published over 200 scientific papers, 2 monographs, and 7 chapters in selected issues (encyclopedia, books). Over 1500 citations of his papers have been noted. He was Head of the Institute of Chemical Engineering at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for 21 years (1993/2014) and Deputy-minister of Environment in the Bulgarian Government (1991/92).

He has given several keynote presentations in International Conferences all over the world, and currently he is the Organizing Committee Member for the Catalysis Mechanochemistry and Chemical Engineering conference going to be held at Italy on July 17-19, 2024.

Research Interests:

Mass transfer processes, biotechnology and biochemical engineering (bioreactor engineering, fine chemicals, environment protection, bioelectrochemical stimulation of microbial processes), waste treatment.

Dr. Dai-Yeun Jeong  was graduated in sociology from the Korea University, South Korea.  He received his PhD Environmental Sociology from The University of Queensland, Australia.

His Past Major Professional Activities Since 2000 include Professor at Jeju National University, South Korea (March 1981 – February 2012). He worked as a President for Asia-Pacific Sociological Association. He worked as a Teaching Professor at The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. He was a Member for the Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development of the Republic of Korea. He was a Delegate of South Korean Government to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). He was also a  Delegate of South Korean Government to OECD Environmental Meeting. He was a Research Associate for Environmental Policy Committee for Sustainable Development, The National Assembly of Republic of Korea

He has published over 13 books including Environmental Sociology and 60 academic research papers in domestic and international journals. Currently he is the Organizing Committee Member for the Catalysis Mechanochemistry and Chemical Engineering conference going to be held at Italy on July 17-19, 2024.

Diego Liberati is the Research Director for Information, Control and Biomedical Engineering, and memeber of the Board, within the Institute for Electronics, Information and Communications Engineering of the Italian National Research Council at the Electronics and Information Department of the Milano Institute of Technology. Secretary of the Biomedical Engineering Society of the Italian Electrical and Electronic Engineering Association (and Milano prize laureate in 1987) and member of the Technical Committe on Control Design of the International Federation of Automatic Control, with particular emphasys on neural control, he has chaired the Scientific Committee for the Conferences on Information and Control Technologies in Health Systems sponsored by the Italian Control Association and has been a technological transfer expert with the Milano Chamber of Commmerce. Visiting scientist at Rockefeller University, New York University, University of California and International Computer Science Institute, he has directed joint projects granted by both private (e.g. Hewlett Packard on artificial neural networks in industrial processes monitoring) and public (e.g. European Union on non-linear analysis of brain plasticity) institutions. Having taught signal processing, mathematical modeling, microelectronics, lab instrumentation and control theory in european Universities, he has also mentored dozens of pupils toward and beyond their doctorate. His main scientific interests in Information and Communication Technologies for life are related to measurement analysis, model identification and synthesis of emulations in natural and artificial complex systems, whose scientific and ethical aspects involving the human beings he loves to discuss in his papers.

Professor Tokeer Ahmad was graduated from IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Presently, he is full Professor at Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Prof. Ahmad has supervised 15 PhD’s, 77 postgraduates, 9 projects, published 172 research papers, one patent and three books with research citation of 6185, h-index of 47 and i10-index of 127. Prof. Ahmad is active reviewer of 147 journals, delivered 145 Invited talks, evaluated 50 external doctoral theses and presented 128 conference papers. Prof. Ahmad is the recipient of MRSI Medal, SMC Bronze Medal, ISCAS Medal, Inspired Teacher’s President Award, DST-DFG award, Distinguished Scientist Award, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Excellence Award of Education, Teacher’s Excellence Award and elected as Member of National Academy of Sciences India. Prof. Ahmad has been figured in World Top 2% Scientists for consecutive four years since 2020 in both coveted lists including career long by Stanford University, USA. Prof. Ahmad has been recently admitted as Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK.

Osman Adiguzel graduated from department of physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey in Solid State Physics with experimental studies on diffusion less phase transformations in Ti-Ta alloys in 1980. He has studied at Surrey University, UK, as a post-doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and He studied on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University, Turkey. He moved to Firat University in 1980, and became professor in 1996, He published over 50 papers in international and national journals. He joined over 80 conferences and symposia in international and national level as participant, invited speaker or keynote speaker with contributions of oral or poster. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In last three years he joined (2014 - 2016) over 20 conferences as Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M.Sc.- theses. He served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University, in 1999-2004. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File.

Prof. Dr. Litter Marta is Doctor in Chemistry from the Buenos Aires University, Argentina (1974) with Postdoctoral stage at the University of Arizona, USA (1983). She is Senior Researcher of the Research Council (CONICET) and Full Professor at the University of General San Martín, Argentina. She was Principal Researcher at the National Atomic Commission until her retirement where she was Head of the Environmental Chemistry Remediation Division. Her research focuses on treatment of organic and inorganic contaminants in water and air by innovative advanced technologies, especially heterogeneous photocatalysis and use of nanomaterials. She authored more than 200 scientific publications in international journals, books and chapters of books. She received the Mercosur Prize twice in 2006 and 2011. She was President of the Local Organizing Committee of the 5th. International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment (As2014), Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 11 to 16 May 2014. She was designated pioneer on photocatalysis in Argentina (2016), Member of the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS, 2019) and Member of the Latin American Academy of Sciences (2020).

Sergey Suchkov MD, PhD is a Professor in Immunology & Medicine. He did his MD in Astrakhan State Medical University, Russia, 1980. And his PhD in I M Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, 1985. He completed his Doctor degree in National Institute of Immunology, Russia, 2001. He was a Post-doc Research Associate at the Institute of Medical Enzymology. He was the Head of the Lab of Immunology, Helmholtz Eye Research Institute in Moscow and also worked as a Trainee at Laboratory of Immunology, NEI, Bethesda, MD. He was a Chairman  & Director of the Department of Personalized Medicine. He is honored as the Secretary General, United Cultural Convention, Cambridge, UK and has a membership in the New York Academy of Sciences, USA, and EPMA, Brussels. He is also a member of AMEE (Association for Medical Education in Europe), Centre for Medical Education, University of Dundee, Scotland. He was also  a Member of ACS (American Chemical Society), Washington, DC, USA. He is also a Member of AHA (American Heart Association), Dallas, TX, USA and also a Member for ARVO (The Association in Research in Vision & Ophthalmology, Rockville, MD, USA.  And a member of ISER (International Society for Eye Research), Business Enterprise Institute, Anchorage, AK USA.
